Role Description
We are seeking a healthcare Program Integrity/Financial Business Analyst that will play a critical role in supporting the Finance and Program Integrity Unit (PIU) within Intervoice’s contracted responsibilities with the Puerto Rico Medicaid Program (PRMP), under the PR Department of Health. This position will focus on analyzing and enhancing client financial operations. The analyst will work closely with Intervoice’s experienced SME (Subject Matter Expert), to deliver day-to-day, on-sight support to help identify and report potential recoveries and financial recoupments from MCO’s and healthcare providers. The goal is to optimize processes and support initiatives across the PRMP.
Role Responsibilities
Review and analyze Program Integrity and Financial reports for program effectiveness and efficiency.
Gather, interpret, and analyze business data including KPIs, financial statements, and operational metrics using modern data analytics tools.
Liaise between clients and business partners to ensure streamlined communication and collaboration.
Identify, assess, and document process improvement opportunities, including modeling of business processes.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of ongoing projects, workflows, and business processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define operational issues and recommend strategic solutions.
Support financial investigations and identify potential recoveries and recoupments from healthcare providers and carriers.
Provide bilingual (Spanish-English) support in meetings, communications, and reporting.
Role Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Health Information Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred and may substitute for some experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business analysis, financial operations, or program integrity within a healthcare or managed care environment.
Experience with private or government-funded healthcare programs strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Proven ability to analyze business processes and data with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to present data-driven recommendations and process improvements.
Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with healthcare data systems and integration practices.
Strong understanding of Managed Care operations, financial transactions, and program integrity processes.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and lead cross-functional discussions.
Terms & Conditions
Duration: 12-month contract with potential for renewal based on project needs and performance.
Compensation: Fixed monthly fee, payable upon invoice submission.
Independent contractor status: Must manage own tax and insurance obligations.
